    成人影片appThe Reading School District Food Service Program is the fourth largest school food service operation in the State and produces 22,000 meals daily.  The department consists of approximately 150 employees.  We service 22 school sites and three contract sites. Since implementation of the Community Eligibility Provision of the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act, every student has access to a free breakfast and lunch daily.  In addition, we serve breakfast in the classroom to students at our elementary and middle schools.  Our breakfast in the classroom program has received both State and Federal recognition.

Summer Feeding Program

  • Reading School District offers summer feeding sites at our school buildings, plus mobile sites at Jamestown and Oakbrook. This year, summer feeding begins on Monday, June 17, 2019.

    成人影片appAll Reading children ages 18 and younger, as well as all Reading children with special needs ages 21 and younger, can receive a free breakfast and lunch meal. No application or proof of income needed. Meals are not available on weekends.

    Reading School District will serve breakfast from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following locations. Please note, there are no meals served July 4-5 in observance of the holiday.

    All Elementary Schools 
    June 17 through July 11 (Monday through Thursday) 

    All Middle Schools (except for Southern Middle School)
    June 17 through June 28 (Monday through Friday) 
    Note: Due to construction at Southern Middle School, summer feeding is not available at the school. However, Southern students can visit nearby Reading Intermediate High School, 10th and Penn Elementary or Amanda Stout Elementary for breakfast and lunch. 

    Reading High School 
    June 17 through August 8 (Monday through Thursday)

    Mobile Units:
    Reading School District also has two mobile sites. Only lunch is served at these sites. Please note, there are no meals served on the July 4th holiday. 

    Jamestown (mobile unit) 
    June 17 through August 9 (Monday through Friday) 
    Lunch - 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

    Oakbrook (mobile unit) - served adjacent to the Berks County Health Clinic 
    June 17 through August 9

Food Service Workers and Substitutes Needed
